Unpack your appliance and remove any
labels. Keep your warranty card and carefully
read the operating instructions before using
your appliance for the fi rst time.
Before each use the supply cord should be
completely unwound. Do not allow it to
become trapped or be pulled over sharp edges.
If you use an extension cord, make sure that it
is in perfect condition and appropriate to the
power rating of your appliance. Never unplug
the appliance by pulling on the cord.
Never operate the vacuum cleaner without a
bag and without a fi ltration system (cassette).
Do not move the vacuum cleaner by pulling
its cord, the appliance must be moved by its
carrying handle. Never lift the appliance by
its cord use the carrying handle. Stop and
unplug the appliance after each use. Always
turn off and unplug your appliance before
maintenance or cleaning. Only use Rowenta
bags and fi lters.
Use only Rowenta or Wonderbag bags and
fi lters.
Check that all the fi lters are properly in
place. In the case of diffi culty in obtaining
accessories and fi lters for this vacuum
cleaner, contact the Rowenta customer
service department (see last page for contact
details).
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
1 • Remove packaging
Thanks to the Silence System (an
exclusive
Rowenta
system)
your
vacuum cleaner makes much less noise
when vacuuming.
Push the hose into the vacuum opening
(fi g. 1)
and turn to lock. To remove it, turn
in the opposite direction and pull.
Fully unroll the cord, plug in your vacuum
cleaner and press the On/Off pedal,

USING THE APPLIANCE

IMPORTANT Never operate the vacuum
cleaner without a bag and without a
fi ltration system (cassette).
IMPORTANT Always stop and unplug
your vacuum cleaner before changing
accessories.

power cord and using the
vacuum cleaner

*Depending on model : this is either equipment specifi c to certain models or available as an optional accessory.
Your appliance is equipped to that end with a
safety system to ensure the filter cassette is
present.
• Fit the metal telescopic tube to the end of the
power nozzle, pushing it until you hear a locking
‘click’

(to release it, press on the tube’s
lock button and remove it).
• Fit the Delta Silence Force nozzle to the end of
the metal telescopic tube, pushing it until you hear
a locking ‘click’
(fig.3)
(to release it, press the
nozzle’s lock button and remove it).
• Adjust the metal telescopic tube to the required
length using the telescopic system (TELESCOPIC
SYSTEM)
(fig.4).
• Fit the required accessory to the end of the metal
telescopic tube or the power nozzle:
- For rugs and carpets: use the Delta Silence Force
nozzle in the retracted brush position or the
Turbobrush* (to remove fibres and animal hairs).
- For parquets and smooth floors: use the Delta
Silence Force nozzle in the advanced brush position
or, for a better result, use the parquet nozzle*.
- For getting into corners and places that are hard
to reach: use the telescopic crevice tool*.
- For furniture and fragile surfaces: use the brush
which is built into the nozzle (EASY BRUSH) or the
upholstery nozzle*.
USING YOUR VACUUM CLEANER COMFORTABLY

Comfortable to use, the ERGO COMFORT
SILENCE range has been designed to make
using your vacuum cleaner an easier and more
comfortable experience.
So as to avoid bending your back and to keep
a straight posture, make sure you:
1. Adjust the ERGO COMFORT SILENCE metal
telescopic tube to a length that you’re comfor-
table with

2. Place your second hand in front of the ERGO
COMFORT SILENCE power nozzle handle
