The appliance must be used and set down on a stable surface.
After ironing, or should you wish to leave the house for a brief period, please do not forget to turn the switch
(7) to “
0
” and pull the plug from the socket.
Before the iron has reached the optimum temperature, water could be emitted from the steam holes, should
the steam button be pressed.
The appliance may not be used when it has fallen, is visibly damaged or when it leaks water. To prevent risks
of danger, all repairs, including the replacement of the power cord, must be carried out by our customer
service or and authorized electrician.
Important Note on the Risk of Scalding and Burns
Never iron clothes while they are being worn.
Do not touch the metal parts, hot water or steam during operation and the first few minutes after switching
off the appliance because of the risk of burns.
Never point the steam jet at body parts or pets.
Caution – Property Damage
Before using the appliance for the first time, remove any labels or protective films that might be on the
soleplate.
Uncoil the cable prior to use.
Do not use sparkling mineral water (with added carbon dioxide. We recommend using decalcified water
should your water be particularly calciferous (refer to the notes in paragraph "Care").
Never set the hot iron down on the power cord or connecting cable. Ensure that they do not come into
contact with the hot soleplate.
Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling the power cord.
To clean the appliance, first pull the power cord plug out of the socket, and wait until all parts have cooled
off. Subsequently clean the appliance using a soft, non-abrasive and slightly dampened cloth. Never use
solvents, as they will damage the plastic parts.
The steam generator must be cleaned at least every three months to remove possible limescale build up,
which could impact the appliance's proper functioning.
Do not pour vinegar or other perfumed substances into the steam generator. All warranty claims will
otherwise be forfeited.
Do not wrap the power cord around the soleplate as long as the iron is still hot.
Do not place the soleplate on metal surfaces.
Do not expose the appliance to climatic conditions (rain, sun, etc....).
Note: When you first turn on the iron, a slight amount of smoke and water drops could be emitted. This
is normal and will cease after approximately two fillings.
