FILLING THE BOILER WITH WATER PRIOR TO USE
o
Caution!
Unplug the iron before you fill it with water.
o
Place the iron in a horizontal position, and fill the boiler using
the measuring cup (12) and funnel (11) provided (Fig. B).
o
NEVER FILL IT WITH MORE THAN 300 cm
3
OF WATER. This
amount corresponds to the quantity indicated on the measuring
cup. If too much water is added, water will either leak or be
sprayed out of the steam holes when you start to iron.
o
Do not use any chemical additives and fragrances.
o
Empty the boiler after use.
•
PREPARING TO USE YOUR IRON
o
The safety cap (1) must be properly secured. However, do not screw it on too tight-
ly. NEVER TIGHTEN IT USING THE CAP SCREW (3). Only turn the safety cap as far as
it will go. Screwing it on too tightly could damage the seal and steam would emit
from the safety cap.
o
It is imperative that you use an absorbent ironing pad.
•
TURNING ON THE APPLIANCE
o
Position the appliance on a level and stable surface.
o
Before you connect the appliance to the mains power supply, please check whether
the data specified on the type plate corresponds to your power supply voltage, and
then set the switch (7) to "ON."
o
The illuminated pilot light (5) indicates that the iron is heating up.
o
Wait 4 – 5 minutes, until the pilot light goes out.
o
The iron is now ready-for-use.
