If you click and drag across the level mask, you can quickly select or unselect router levels.
If you want all partitions to switch on the same router level, select the same box across all partitions.
Setting Up Video Referencing
If you have installed your routing switchers for video referencing (see “
Connecting a Video Reference to
” on page 32), you need to set up the switching point to a predefined line for a
particular format, or you can set up a custom switching line to match the timing requirements of your system.
To set up video referencing
1. Open the NK-3G144 device tab (see “

3. Use the information in
to select the point on which you want the signal switching to occur:

Sending a Configuration File to a Device
Saving the Current File for the Routing Switcher
The parameters that you have set up on the device tab for a routing switcher are stored in a configuration file. When
you have finished making changes to the configuration of the routing switcher, you should save the file and then
add the location of the file to the
File Navigator
so that you can conveniently access it later.

SD
For 50.94/60fps references, switching delay is set to NTSC line 10.
For 50fps references, switching delay is set to PAL line 6.
HD (1080i)
Switching delay is set to line 7 of a 1080i HD signal.
HD (720p)
Switching delay is set to line 7 of a 720p HD signal.
3G
Switching delay is set to line 7 of a 1080p 3G signal.
Custom
Used for any signal where the switching point lies outside the range of
predefined SD and HD switching points. A variety of switching points
across the routing switchers may be required to deal with the range of
digital video formats that are available.
