Any surfaces between rotating and fixed
components which could normally be ex-
pected to come into contact during opera-
tional faults are made of materials with
reduced risk of ignition due to friction or
contact sparks.

4.1 Ausführung
Design
Axialventilatoren mit quadratischer Ein-
strömdüsenplatte (Baureihe DQ) bis Bau-
größe 630 serienmäßig mit saugseitigem
Berührungsschutzgitter. Ab der Baugröße
710 sind standardmäßig keine Schutzgitter
mehr zugeordnet. Schutzgitter ab dieser
Baugröße sind auf Anfrage erhältlich.

Beim Einbau ist zu prüfen, ob ein Be-
rühren des Flügelrades ausge-
schlossen ist. Ist dies nicht der Fall, so
muss ein normgerechter Berührungs-
schutz angebracht werden
(Passende und geprüfte Schutzgitter
sind bei uns als Zubehör erhältlich)
Axial fans with square plate mounted ar-
rangement; (series DQ) are supplied with
inlet protection guards as standard on sizes
up to 630 mm diameter. From size 710 mm
upwards inlet guards are not fitted as a
standard item. Guards can be supplied as
an optional extra if required.

Great care should be taken at the in-
stallation stage to ensure that it is not
possible to touch the impeller. If there
is a possibility to do so, protection
guards should be fitted relevant to the
local health and safety requirements.
(Suitable and tested protection can
be supplied as accessory.)
Axialventilatoren mit doppelseitigem Anbau-
flansch (Baureihe DR) werden serienmäßig
ohne Berührungsschutz geliefert, da diese
bevorzugt in Rohrleitungen eingebaut wer-
den.
Ist der Ventilator in Systemen installiert bei
den beiden Ansaug- und Ausblasseite frei
zugänglich sind, ist durch den Anlagen-
bauer der Berührschutz zu gewährleisten.
Passende und geprüfte Schutzgitter sind
bei uns als Zubehör erhältlich.

Case mounted axial fans (series DR) are
not fitted with protection guards as standard
as they are usually positioned in a duct
system which eliminates the possibility of
touching the impeller.
However, should this type of fan be in-
stalled in any system that leaves one or
both faces of the fan exposed then suitable
protection guards must be fitted in accord-
ance with local health and safety require-
ments. These guards are available as an
optional extra from our program.

touching is possible a protection guard
conforming to standards has to be
