Power generator RS 9 - Rosenbauer
• Do not use a high pressure cleaner or a similar device for cleaning.
• Use dry or slightly moist rags or dry paper wipes.
6.1 Servicing / Service intervals
Recurring tests
• The power generating set must be subjected to recurring tests according to the
respective national regulations. Please refer to the applicable laws and regulations.
Regular tests must be documented accordingly.
• Please also observe the included Briggs & Stratton engine operation manual.
Attention! Leaking engine oil and gasoline contaminates the soil and ground water
• Use oil catching containers
• Recycle used oil
Attention! Engine oil can be hot - danger of burns
• Let the engine cool off
• Wear protective gloves and goggles
Check the oil level
• The engine must be shut off for a few minutes to allow the oil to collect in the oil
sump.
• Make sure the unit is level.
• RS 14 SUPER SILENT: Open the engine cover
• Pull out the oil dip stick and wipe with a clean cloth
• Insert oil dip stick completely and pull back out

If the oil level is above the top mark: Bleed off oil.

If the oil level is below the bottom mark: refill oil
Attention! The unit is equipped with an oil pressure sensor.
If the oil level is too low, a warning is issued. The engine is not shut off!
Let the engine cool off
Topping up oil
• Remove or open cover of the power generating set
• Open the plug screw to the oil filler opening
• Top up oil using a filling aid
• Check the oil level
• Replace the plug screw
Changing the engine oil
Attention! The oil will immediately start to flow from the drain opening once the
oil drain screw is removed!
The oil drain screw is located at the front of the unit
Procedure:
• Ideally the engine should be slightly warm
