2.1 OVERVIEW
This analyzer has two modes of operation:
1.
Process. Instrument displays process measurement.
2.
Menu. Instrument displays prompts that allow
change to operating parameters such as alarms,
output range, calibration, etc. While in this mode,
the Process measurement and communications
with other instruments are disabled. A timeout
feature automatically retur ns the analyzer to
the Process mode 5 minutes after the last key
is pressed.
The Model 2700 analyzer has eight keypads on the front
of the unit. See
dedicated to specific functions.
The functions of the other four keypads are defined in
software. Abbreviated messages appear above each
keypad which identify their current use. Descriptions of
these abbreviated messages are given in
The displays and prompts used to set up the analyzer
operating variables, configuration (start-up), and cali-
bration are addressed in separate sections.
To Change Operating Mode.
The software keypad
identified as MENU (F1) on the Process display is used
to change the mode of operation from the Process dis-
play to the Main Menu display.
To return to the Process display from any menu display
press the software keypad identified as EXIT two times.
2.2 DISPLAY
shows the Model
2700 Solu Cube front panel with a typical display of
process data. The largest set of numerals show the
present process data. To their right is the unit of
measure for the process variable, and just below the
units is the address of the sensor furnishing this data.
Secondary Process Variable.
Below the primary
process display, in smaller numerals, is the secondary
process display. In the example shown in
the temperature of the process. To the right is the unit
measurement (Deg C), and just below is the address of
the sensor providing this information.
