2.  Select the appropriate adapter from the three provided.  If the adapter you have selected has a 

notch on it, insert the notch side into hub assembly first.  If it is one or the other two insert  largest hole end 
into Hub first.    

 

 

3.  To finish the Hub assembly, place the End Cap (Item 4) on and secure with 3/8" x 6”  Hex bolt and 

lock washer through the hub so it screws into the adapter and securely tighten bolt  (Item 5).  If the 3/8" bolt 
does not easily threads into the adapter, do not force, contact RBGONE, INC Customer Service @ 904-813-
4902 for assistance.  TIGHTEN SECURELY. 

 

(Note: All adapters are configured with a left hand thread pattern on the end that attaches to the 

edger power head and a 3/8"x 20x6", right handed thread Hex Bolt on the opposite end.)  DO NOT USE THE 
3/8" x 20x6" BOLT TO TIGHTEN THE CUTTING HEAD TO THE EDGER. 

 

4.  Installing Cutting Head on Edger. Ensure edger is turned off before attempting the following:  Lay 

edger face up on a flat surface, edger blade up. Remove the edger blade, retaining bolt or nut along with the 
edger cap washer (retain for future use) and place Hub Washer (Item 7)  on the 1” cullet or protrusion on the 
edger power head in the place where the flat blade was.  

With the use of safety gloves attach the 

completed Hub Assembly and tighten only hand tight.

  Remember you have a left hand thread 

pattern on the adapter.  If the adapter you choose does not tighten up against the Inner Washer (Item - 7), do 
not force the adapter, contact RBGONE, INC. Customer Service Dept @ 904-813-4902 for assistance.

 

SODHOG/SUPER-TOOTH CHAIN MAINTENANCE 

 

  

 

NOTE:  The rakes/chain gauges for any replacement chains for the Sodhog or the 
Super-Tooth Sodhog must be ground off before use.  The best method would be to 
totally assembly the Sodhog, then being careful, grind all the rakes across the 
entire Sodhog at one time.
