Chargepoint Installation Completion

1. Make sure the…

x

Chargepoint is secured to the mounting location.

x

Chargepoint enclosure is free of debris.

x

Cables entering the chargepoint are secure.

2. Make sure the electrical installation is complete:

x

Incoming cables are connected to the relevant devices within the enclosure.

x

All electrical connection points are secure.

x

All required tests have been performed – in accordance with the current 

legislation applicable in the geographical region of the installation.

x

Make sure the chargepoint has been installed in compliance with the current 

Electrical Wiring Regulations (including recommended earthing arrangements).

3. Fit the fascia panel(s) to the enclosure and secure with the fixings removed at the 

start of the procedure.

Make sure the rubber washer on the fixing 

is in good condition and is correctly 

placed between the fascia and the 

washer.

x

Slight compression of the rubber washer 

helps to maintain the water resistance of 

the pedestal.

x

Do NOT over tighten the fixings.

NOTE: 

Copper grease or a similar anti-seize 

compound may be applied to screw threads 

to ensure ease of fastener removal in the 

future.

4. If required, remove any handling marks from the enclosure with a soft, damp cloth.
5. Make sure this manual is given to the Owner/Host before leaving the site.
