Video Operations
Switching the Video
This selects video that is being input to the XS-62S, and outputs it
to the PGM/1 bus.
About the Operation Mode for Video Transitions
There are three operation modes for switching the PGM/1 bus
and PVW/2 bus: “PGM-PST mode,” “DISSOLVE mode,” and “MATRIX
mode.”
By factory default, the operation mode is set to the PGM-PST mode.
You can select the preset video (the video to be output next) for
the PVW/2 bus, and after checking that video, output it to the
PGM/1 bus.
When you press the [TAKE] button, the PGM/1 bus video is
exchanged with the PVW/2 bus video.
DISSOLVE mode (p. 17)
You can select the video that you want to output, and
immediately output it to the PGM/1 bus.
You can individually select the video that is output to each bus
(PGM/1, PVW/2, AUX/3 buses).
Setting the operation mode
1.
Select the [MENU] button

“MODE.”
2.
Use the [VALUE] knob to select either “PGM-PST,”
“DISSOLVE,” or “MATRIX.”
3.
Press the [VALUE] knob to apply the setting.
4.
Press the [MENU] button to quit the menu.
Switching Using the PGM-PST Mode
You can select the preset video (the video to be output next) for
the PVW/2 bus, and after checking that video, output it to the
PGM/1 bus.
1.
Press the [SW MODE] button several times to make
it light yellow.
The buses selected by the cross-point buttons (upper row) will be
the “PGM/1” and “PVW/2” buses.
2.
Press a cross-point button (upper row) to select the
preset video (the video to be output next).
Lighted in red:
PGM/1 bus
Lighted in green:
PVW/2 bus
The channel you press is lit green. Alternatively, the preset video
appears in the PVW/2 section of the multi-view monitor.
MEMO
You use channels 7 and 8 to output a still image or a
monochrome picture (background color) (p. 19).

Press the [TAKE] button.
The video changes. At this time, the selected channel blinks red.
When the video has switched completely, the selected channel’s
cross-point button is lit red.
Switching Using the DISSOLVE Mode
You can select the video that you want to output, and
immediately output it to the PGM/1 bus.
1.
Press the [SW MODE] button several times to make
it light yellow.
2.
Press the cross-point button (upper row) that you
want to output to the PGM/1 bus.
The channel you pressed blinks green, and the video switches.
When the video has switched completely, the selected channel’s
cross-point button is lit red.
