V-SynthXT
DRIVER INSTALLATION AND
SETTINGS
Prepare the PC (Windows XP/2000/Me) to confirm the USB function of V-
Synth XT.
(XP recommended.)
PC in which the USB-MIDI driver for V-Synth XT is installed when the test
mode is executed is necessary.
DRIVER CD-ROM (#03897734)
Please see manual P.138 about the method of installing the driver.
Even when V-Synth XT is connected with PC that the driver installed, the
driver’s installation might already be required again.
This the purpose is for the driver to be identifying one individual by the
difference of the serial ID and not trouble.
(Refer the TEST MODE 14: USB TEST)
Please install the driver again in that case.
CHECKING THE VERSION
NUMBER
You can use either of the following two methods to check the version number.
Cheking the versionnumber in
Test mode.
Turn on the power while holding down the two buttons [PREVIEW] + [BANK-
].
Continue holding down the buttons until you hear the beep.
The top screen of Test mode will appear, and the version number will be
displayed in the screen.

Checking the version number in
Patch mode

Touch < MENU > in the upper right of the screen.
A pulldown menu will appear.

In the pulldown menu, touch < Info >.
The PATCH Information window will appear.

Verify the program version in the upper left of the screen.
USERS DATA SAVE AND
LOAD
You can exchange the data between the PC and the V-Synth XT by connecting
on the USB storage mode.
Prepare the Windows PC (XP/2000/Me). XP recommended.
Don’t power off on the V-Synth XT on following procedure. The Data may be
broken.
Backing up patches and wave
data (Project)

Connect the V-Synth XT and PC with the USB cable according to
“Connecting to Your Computer via USB (USB Mode)” (P.138) of the
manual.
Press <MODE> button, and touch <USB>, <Internal>.
Internal of V-Synth XT DISK is recognized by this as a removable drive
by the PC.
Drive name is shown on PC desktop as “V-Synth XT” on Windows XP,
“Removable Disk:(Drive letter)” on Windows 2000/Me.

All files and folders in the drive of “V-SYNTH XT” are copied onto the
drive (hard disk) in PC by operating PC.
