7.3.1.
Establishing the plug connection
Step
Description
Plug view
1
Insert the plug of the control unit into the socket on the kiln.
Standard CPC-14
Optional CPC-19
*Both views are seen from the
front of the contacts, in the
direction of the cable outlet!
2
The plug and socket have a geometric coding - the plug and socket only
fit into one another in one position.
3
The wide lug on the plug must be at the top in the 12 o'clock position to
fit into the wide recess on the plug, also in the 12 o'clock position.
4
You may have to twist the plug a little until it clicks into the socket
completely.
5
Tighten the outer screw ring on the plug clockwise.

7.3.2.
Control unit extension cable
•
If the bracket for the control unit is attached at the operation location (near the kiln), the cable can be extended
using an extension cable.
•
The extension cable for the control systems is optionally available in lengths of 2.5, 5 or a maximum of 10
meters.
•
Note on EMC:
To meet Electromagnetic Compatibility requirements the controller lead should not exceed 3 m in length. The
instrument is mainly designed for use in Domestic, Commercial and Light Industrial environments where
electromagnetic interference may cause a loss of accuracy of the displayed temperature reading of up to 3°C.
7.4.
Initial firing of the kiln
CAUTION
Risk of personal injury and property damage:
Before putting the kiln into operation, all packaging materials such as cardboard boxes,
protective films, adhesive tapes, etc., which were used to protect the kiln, must be removed.
Before operating the kiln, it must have an initial firing. This process is called dry firing.
An initial firing is necessary to remove residual moisture from the frontloader and to create a protective oxide layer on
the heating elements, which significantly extends the life of the heating elements.
Setting parameters for the initial firing:
•
Heat up at
100°C/h
•
End temperature
1050°C
•
Soak time
1 h & 30 min
•
Ventilation
Supply and exhaust air open
