In this operating mode, the generator adjusts the output level whenever the fre-
quency or level setting changes.

Noise sensitive applications
The parameter "RF OFF Mode > Full Attenuation" sets maximum attenuation and
thus suppresses noise when you turn off the RF signal.
Interactions and characteristics

The spectral purity of the RF output signal decreases with high attenuation.

Fixed mode is effective when automatic level control is activated (

The setting of the
RF OFF Mode > Full Attenuation
has priority over the RF level
, regardless of the selected settings characteristics.

Attenuator settings
Access:
► Select "RF" > "RF Level" > "Level > Attenuator".
In the "Attenuator" dialog, you can select the operating mode of the step attenuator,
the instrument is equipped with.
