11.9 Auxiliary output / relay connection
The auxiliary output of the MPT-3024 is connected to the normally open,
switched contacts of a relay. Thus, for greatest flexibility, there is no power
supplied via the AUX terminal block on the MPT-3024 — the two terminals
are simply treated as though they connect to a switch, which can be turned on
or off based on battery voltage. Connections to the AUX terminal block aren’t
polarized. Figure 11.9.1 shows typical connections for a vent fan to the
auxiliary terminal block on the controller.
!
Do not use a device with the Auxiliary Output that will exceed the 5
amp rating of the auxiliary relay in the controller. Doing so may damage the
controller.
11.10 RE-CONN communication port connection
The RE-CONN communication port uses standard Cat.5/Cat.6 four-pair cable
wired straight-through with RJ-45 connectors on either end. Compatible
devices may be attached to the port at any time. Contact Rogue for a list of
devices that are compatible with the MPT-3024.

the vent fan and use wire of sufficient size to and from the controller.
