materials, such as dirt, etc. To correct the problem, 

immediately clean the spray nozzle following these 

instructions:

1)  Switch engine off and turn off water supply

2)  ALWAYS point spray gun in a safe direction, lock 

the gun and squeeze spray gun trigger to release 

retained high water pressure.

3)  Remove nozzle from end of nozzle extension.

4)  Use a small paper clip to free any foreign material 

clogging or restricting nozzle.

4. ENGINE MAINTENANCE  

Spark plug (See Fig. E1, E2)

1)  Once the engine has cooled, pull off spark plug 

connector (9) and remove the spark plug with 

supplied socket spanner. (See Fig.E1)

2)  Remove debris from the electrode with a 

soft wired brush; avoid heavy cleaning of the 

electrode.

3)   Check the spark plug gap. It should be 0.75mm. 

(See Fig. E2)

4)   Install the spark plug carefully by hand, to avoid 

cross-threading.

5)   After the spark plug is seated, tighten with 

supplied spanner to compress the washer.

6)  Replace with a new spark plug if either the 

electrode or the insulation is damaged. 

Equivalents spark plug replacement as below:

CHAMPION  RN10Y / RN10YC / RN9Y / RN9YC / RN9YCC.

Air filter maintenance.  (See Fig.F1, F2)

1)  Press the latch on the cover (d) down and open the 

air filter case (8).

2)  Remove the filter (e) and tap it on a solid surface 

to remove dust.

3)  Apply a small amount of air filter oil on the filter to 

increase the performance of the filter. Wring out 

surplus oil and put the filter into the case.

4)  Reattach the cover onto the air filter case, make 

sure the latched engage properly.

WARNING:

 

Never run the engine without the 

air filter element installed.

Change the oil (See Fig. B1, G)

1)  Switch engine off and still warm, disconnect the 

spark plug connector (9).

2)  Unscrew the dipstick (b).

3)  Loosen and remove the oil drain screw (f) to empty 

the oil into a suitable container.

4)  Tighten the oil drain screw and refill the oil tank 

with SAE30 engine oil.

5)  Start the engine and allow it run briefly. Stop the 

engine, wait one minute and check the oil level. 

Top up if necessary.

STORAGE

1.   Store the product and its accessories in a dry, 

frost-free place.

2.   Always store the product in a place that is 

inaccessible to children. The ideal storage 

temperature is between 10°C and 30°C.

3.   We recommend using the original package for 

storage or covering the product with a suitable 

cloth or enclosure to protect it against dust.

4.   Drain remaining water at the end of the working 

session.

5.   Store the nozzles in the accessory holder of the 

product.

6.   Empty the oil and fuel tank if you are not going 

to use the product for an extended period of time 

(more than 30 days) and before storing it for the 

winter.

TRANSPORTATION

1.   Switch engine off and disconnect the spark plug 

connector (9).

2.   Disconnect it from the water supply.

3.   Tilt the product towards you until it balances on 

the wheels. Then move it by its handle.

4.   Protect the product from any heavy impact 

or strong vibrations which may occur during 

transportation in vehicles.

5.   Secure the product to prevent it from slipping or 

falling over, loss of fuel, damage and injury.
