3. AIR FILTER (See Fig. L1-L2)
Unclip the air filter cover and remove the sponge
filter element. To avoid objects falling into the air
tank, replace the air filter cover. Wash the filter
element in warm soap water, rinse and allow to dry
naturally. Saturate the air filter element with fresh
engine oil approx 60ml. Wrap the filter in a clean
cloth and squeeze out excess oil for avoid possible
mower starting failure. (Do not wring out or twist the
filter as this will cause damage to the foam) place
air filter into the base as shown in Fig L.
WARNING! Never run the engine without
the air filter element installed. The “foam
only” style air filter system works by trapping
dirt and debris though the use of motor
oil spread throughout the oil foam holding
medium. A dry or non-oiled oil foam filter will
trap only the largest particles. If the air filter
element is foam only, it MUST be oiled and
serviced regularly. Your foam filter requires
replacement every 3 months or after 25 hours
of use, whichever occurs first, more often
under dusty conditions.

4. CHANGING THE OIL (See Fig. M)
The oil drain plug (22) is located under the oil filler.
Tilt the lawnmower towards the oil filler, have a
container ready to catch the oil and remove the
drain plug. Once the oil has been emptied, replace
the dipstick and wipe clean any spillages.
Refill of SAE30 oil. When the dipstick is rested on
the filler pipe, the oil level must be between the min
and max marks on the dipstick. See ‘’Filling with
Engine Oil’’. Do not overfill.
Start the engine and allow it run briefly. Stop the
engine, wait one minute and check the oil level. Top
up if necessary.
