QC Settings
setup
The
QC Settings
menu contains options for enforcing the
performance of liquid quality controls by the operator at
specified intervals. It also provides the option of custom-
izing the QC Range in accordance with applicable local
guidelines.
QC Range
There are two options:
■
Default Range:
The meter displays the QC Range
provided by Roche in the code chip.
■
Custom Range:
The option
Custom Range
lets the
user define their own QC Range within the default
range.
Lockouts (QC Lockout and Operator Lockout)
If the liquid quality control test is not performed correctly,
or if the result is outside the target value range, the meter
is locked from further use. The Lockout can also be set
up selectively for individual operators.
A liquid quality control test must be completed success-
fully before the meter is available again for testing (either
by the operator or in general).
The option of setting up an
Operator Lockout
is availa-
ble
only
when operator lists are created on a data man-
agement system (DMS), stored in the meter, and
Operator
login is activated. These lists are only available
in connection with a data management system. For
