How to perform maintenance

cleaning of the battery

compartment

With the meter powered off, press the battery com-

partment cover release tab and slide the cover off..

Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water

to remove any residue from the areas highlighted in

blue in the illustration below (on the meter as well

as on the battery compartment cover).

Carefully dry the cleaned areas of the battery com-

partment cover and meter using a fresh lint-free

cloth.

Leave the parts disassembled to completely dry for at

least one hour.

You can either leave the batteries inserted in the battery

compartment cover or remove them when performing

the following maintenance cleaning steps.
