Wire the unused input zones to comm.
(N/C)
as
each zone input is supervised for functionality via
an
auto-test
signal that is sent every 20 minutes.
When an input zones state changes an intruder
signal is sent, if the input zone doesn’t return to its
programmed state the auto-test signal is cancelled
and the trouble light on the decoder panel will
indicate a non functioning unit. This will ensure
that unnecessary auto test signals are not
constantly being sent.
The universal transmitter is now be fully
functional and can now be tested by triggering the
individual devices to confirming if they are
working on the decoder panel.
The LED is used to indicate different settings and
events. In normal operation the LED will flash
slowly
for a repeater and
fast
when configured as a
Universal TX. When the Universal transmits the
LED will flash faster for the duration of the
transmition. For a repeater the LED will go solid
when a signal is received and turns off as soon as it
re-transmits (to enable setting up repeater timing).
For optimal radio performance mount the universal
in a “high site” and if you are mounting it outside
make sure it is adequately waterproofed
(preferably put it in a non metallic waterproof
enclosure)
