(3) Measure the insulation across one of the sol-
dered terminals of the rotor and the core.

If insulation is bad, replace rotor with a new
one.
2-2 AC VOLTAGE IS TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW
2-2-1 CHECKING ENGINE SPEED
If the engine speed is too high or too low, adjust it
to the rated r.p.m.
[How to adjust engine r.p.m.]
* Loosen the lock nut on the adjusting screw.
* Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to decrease
engine speed or counterclockwise to increase
engine speed.
