SECTION 5 :THE ROBERTS GORDON

BZC
700 CONTROLLER WARRANTY
Subject to the conditions set out below, For 12
months from the date of purchase by the original cus-
tomer or 18 months from date of shipment by
Roberts-Gordon, Roberts-Gordon will provide, free
of charge, replacement parts for any part of the
ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller that fails
because of defects in materials or workmanship.
Roberts-Gordon replacement parts are warranted for
the period of the original ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC
700 Controller warranty.
ROBERTS-GORDON WILL NOT PAY FOR:
Service trips, service calls, labour charges, or ship-
ment of replacement parts.
Roberts-Gordon will not be liable for any damage to
the Goods due to:
Failure to install, operate or maintain the
ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller as
directed in the installation and operation manual.
The Customer must follow requirements printed
in this manual;
Fair wear and tear, misuse, abuse, neglect or
modification of the ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC
700 Controller in any way;
Improper service, use of replacement parts or
accessories that are not specified by Roberts-
Gordon;
Improper installation, or any relocation of the
ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller after
initial installation;
Incorrect supply, accident, fire, flood, acts of God
or other casualty;
Use of the ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700
Controller for other than its intended purpose;
Use of the ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700
Controller in a corrosive atmosphere or any
atmosphere containing contaminants;
Use of the ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700
Controller in the vicinity of combustible or explo-
sive materials;
Shipping. Any claim must be filed with the carri-
er;
Any defect in the ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC
700 Controller arising from any drawing, design
or specification supplied by or on behalf of the
Customer;
To the failure of parts not manufactured by
Roberts-Gordon; or
In respect of any claim where the total Price for
the ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller
has not been paid.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF:
The ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller
is not installed by a suitably qualified electrician;
The Customer cannot prove original purchase
date and required annual maintenance history;
Any data plate and/or serial number on the
ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller is
removed, defaced, modified or altered in any
way;
The ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller
is transferred. This warranty is non-transferable;
or
Roberts-Gordon is not permitted to inspect the
damaged ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700
Controller and/or component parts.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused
by Roberts-Gordon's negligence, Roberts-Gordon's
liability, and the Customer's exclusive remedy under
this warranty or any implied warranty is limited:
To providing replacement parts during the term of the
warranty; and
In respect of damage to property arising out of
Roberts-Gordon's negligence or any defect in the
ROBERTS GORDON
®
BZC 700 Controller to £2 mil-
lion.
All other rights, warranties or conditions implied by
statute, common law or otherwise are excluded to
the fullest extent permitted by law. Roberts-Gordon
shall in no event be responsible for loss of profit,
business, revenue, contract, goodwill or indirect, spe-
cial or consequential loss or damage (whether for
loss of profit or otherwise).
Roberts-Gordon shall not be responsible for failure to
perform under the terms of this warranty if caused by
circumstances out of its control, including but not lim-
ited to fire, flood, strike, government or court orders,
unavailability of supplies, parts or power.
LIMITATIONS ON AUTHORITY OF REPRE-
SENTATIVES
No representative of Roberts-Gordon, other than an
authorised officer, has authority to change or extend
these Conditions. Changes or extensions shall be
binding only if confirmed in writing by Roberts-
Gordon's duly authorised officer.
