Mattress Construction
The NoDec
®
AIRSTREAM 3 mattress has two mattress
configurations:
Single Cell
–
Made up of 18, 19 or 20 single air cells, depending on
specified size and two internal side formers.
Integrated Cell
–
Constructed by two decks of conjoined air cells,
sandwiching the two side formers.
Both configurations essentially work the same where the air cells
are connected into three groups and pneumatically inflated or
deflated to give appropriate pressure care. There is a fourth group
that remains fully inflated at the head end of the mattress.
