Name
This parameter allows you to edit the name of the preset that will be displayed in the preset buttons and main display
when the preset is selected.
Button Page
The
Page
option allows you to choose which button page is displayed when the preset is selected. Any of the 16
button pages can be displayed, or you can select the “Same” option to leave the button page unchanged. You can also
load a local button page for this preset. This option is described later in this section.
Tempo
In you have enabled MIDI clock support and have it set to Master, you can set a tempo for this preset. When the preset
is loaded, the tempo will automatically change to this new value. Setting the tempo to 0 will leave the current tempo
unchanged.
Expression Pedals and External Switches
You can choose to override the global settings for any expression pedals and external switches. Select
Exp Pedals
or
External Switches
, then select the desired pedal or switch number. Turn
Override
On, and then you will be presented
with a page where you can edit the pedal or switch’s settings for this preset. Please refer to the Expression Pedal or
Button Edit section for more details on these parameters.
Local Button Page
Each preset can have its own local button page. This page is loaded when the preset is selected, and the page takes the
place of button page 16. When
Local Buttons
is turned on, you will see another option appear:
Edit Buttons
. This
works as described in the Editing Buttons section of the manual, but will allow you to edit this preset’s local button
page.
When a local button page is assigned to a preset, that page will automatically be shown when the preset is selected.
You can still use the
Page
buttons to cycle through the local button page and the first 15 global button pages.
Preset Actions
Each preset can also execute up to 10 actions. These actions are the same that can be assigned to IA buttons, and are
described in the Low Level Editing part of the Editing Buttons section. Preset actions can be used to send any type of
MIDI message, and perform other operations on the GT.
IA Button State
The state of each IA button can be stored in each preset, which allows you to turn IA buttons on or off automatically
when a preset is selected. This feature is an exception in that it is not edited in the Setup Menu. Instead, IA state is
edited using the normal operating mode. The process is as follows:
1.
Select a preset
2.
Manually turn IA buttons on or off as desired
3.
Hold the
Page / IA Store
or
IA Store
button for 3 seconds to store the state to the current preset.
Please note that this only works for IA buttons that have the “Send on Preset” and “Update on Preset” settings turned
on. If these settings are turned off, the button will not be affected by preset changes.
PC Messages
Each of the Mastermind GT’s presets can send different MIDI Program Change messages to each of the connected
devices. By default, the Mastermind GT sends consecutive program change numbers to each device. Selecting preset 1
sends program change 0 to each device, selecting preset 2 sends program change 1 to each device, preset 3 sends
