Notes on disposal
Electrical and electronic equipment is marked with the
crossed-out wheelie bin symbol to indicate that it does
not belong in the household waste.Such equipment
must be disposed of separately.
The owners of waste electrical and electronic equipment are
legally obliged to take the equipment to public collection points
or to hand it over to a collection centre. The delivery by private
individuals to the public collection points in your municipality
is free of charge. In doing so, you contribute to the recycling of
valuable raw materials and the targeted treatment of harmful
substances.
The substances contained in waste equipment may have negative effects
on the environment and human health if not disposed of properly.
Batteries and accumulators are marked with the symbol
of the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol to indicate that
they do not belong in the household waste.
End users are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can
return your old batteries free of charge to the public collection
points in your municipality or anywhere where batteries of this
type are sold.
If not disposed of properly, the substances contained in batteries
and accumulators may have negative effects on the environment
and human health. Separate collection and recycling of spent
batteries is therefore necessary for the environment and human
health.
In the case of batteries containing more than 0.0005 % by mass
of mercury (Hg), more than 0.002 % by mass of cadmium (Cd) and
more than 0.004 % by mass of lead (Pb), the chemical name of
the pollutant used is shown under the symbol of the crossed-out
wheelie bin.
