Extending the Reserve Period
[Reservation]
■
The reserve period does not start count-
ing during the following operations.
• While an operation (master making, printing pro-
cess, etc.) is in progress on this machine.
• While any key or button of the control panel is being
operated.
• While a setting screen is displayed.
• While an error or a warning screen is displayed.
• Up to 3 minutes after you switch to master making
mode.
■
The following functions are not performed
during the extended period of the reserve
period.
These functions are performed based on the time
measured from the end of the period that is set in
[Reservation].
This function is not performed until the set time on
the next day.

Touch [Reservation] in the [Func-
tions] tab screen.
This function is useful when this machine is con-
nected to a computer.
During the printing operation on this machine,
another person may send a print instruction for the
original data from a computer.
Even if this machine has been left untouched after
the operation stops, master making of the received
original data does not start until a certain amount of
time has elapsed. This certain amount of time is
referred to as a “Reserve Period”.
When the reserve period has elapsed, another
master making of the original data starts. As a
result, the master that is being used is discarded.
The factory default of the reserve period is 15 sec-
onds. You can extend this period in the [Admin.]
screen up to 60 seconds.
When you want to continue the printing operation
with the master that you are currently using, turn on
[Reservation]. You can extend the reserve period up
to 30 minutes.
