BURNER ADJUSTMENTS
The installer should carry out these adjustments when commissioning the burner.
5.2.1 ADJUSTMENT OF FUEL MAXIMUM OUTPUT
For each nozzle rated flow, the real oil flow varies according to:
1) oil pressure at the nozzle inlet (capacity increases when the pressure does, shifting from low to
high flame);
2) oil density;
3) air steam pressure at the nozzle inlet (oil capacity increases when the air/steam pressure de-
creases);
when the air/steam pressure decreases 1 bar, this causes an approx. 10% increase in the oil
flow and vice versa.
To avoid variations in oil flow during operation, there should be a stable air/steam spraying
pressure. Even a minor pressure variation can cause important variations in the sprayed oil de-
livery.
4) oil viscosity (oil output increases when viscosity is lower)
when viscosity decreases 10 cSt, this causes an approx.10% increase in the oil flow and vice
versa.
NOTE:
sprayed oil viscosity diminishes when temperature increases.
IMPORTANT:
check every fuel nozzle for correct combustion calibration.
