HOW TO INSTALL JOLLY BIG WITH ELECTROBRAKE

IMPORTANT:  Before install JOLLY BIG check that the shutter is correctly balanced by screws mounted on the shaft. Verify it manually by opening and closing the shutter.

Respect the radius of the curve (at least 15 cm / 0,59 in)

Buttonhole Ø 12 mm / 0,47 in (entry of the release cable)

After have choosen JOLLY BIG according to the dimensions of the shutter, verify the diameter 
of the spring housing and of the shaft, because they must have the same diameter of the 
choosen motor.
If the shaft is Ø 76 mm, use: 
ACJ9058 SHAFT ADAPTER Ø 102/76. 

A -   Make the holes on the shaft as indicated on the rising above draw (see pict. 1), open 

the motor and mount it as indicated of continuation.

B -  Open the pulley unscrewing the 2 screws n. 1.
C -   Dismount the fixing flange on the shaft unscrewing the screws n. 2  and n. 3.
D  -   Mount  JOLLY BIG on the shaft and position the motor up and the limit switch down (see 

pict. 3). Fit the Jolly BIG on the shaft by using the appropriate flange making sure not 
to tighten completely the n. 2 screws provided. Take care that screw n. 4 M10x50 is 
inserted in the hole Ø 10,5 acting as block of the rotation of the motor on the shaft. 
Once the screw n. 4 has been tightened, insert the screw n. 3 and tighten it together 
with screw n. 2. Screw 3 DOES NOT HAVE to work as anti-rotation in place of screw 4!

E -   Reassemble the pulley and re-screw its screws (1).
F -   On the last section of the shutters make a hole Ø 12 mm/0,4 in which allows to fix the 

shutter to the pulley of the JOLLY BIG using the proper screws n. 5.

G -   Insert the electrical cable and the releasing cable in the holes on the shaft and execute 

the electrical connections (see pict. 3).
