5.4.8 QoS
Quality of Service (QoS) is the set of techniques to manage the network resources, G.SHDSL
Router supports port-priority, 802.1p & DSCP QoS function for the incoming packet (from LAN
port). The queue packet (to the DSL) will be following the schedule priority.
5.4.8.1 Port
Port priority is used to define the priority setting of each port. It will map to the four priority queues
of the egress packet (Schedule priority). The ingress packet should be the untagged packet.
5.4.8.2 802.1p
For 802.1P operations, the priority values can be mapped to four priority of the egress packet
(Schedule priority). 802.1P priority operation should be the tagged packet.
5.4.8.3 DSCP
For Differential Service Code Point (DSCP) priority operations, their priority values can be
mapped to four priority of the egress packet (Schedule priority).
