Flex-Wing Flail PRE-OPERATION Inspection

Before conducting the inspection, make sure the tractor engine is off, all
rotation has stopped and the tractor is in park with the parking brake
engaged. Make sure the mower is resting on the ground or securely blocked
up and all hydraulic pressure has been relieved.

The Operator’s Manual is in the canister on the mower
All safety decals are in place and legible
The tongue/hitch connection bolts & pins are tight
There are no cracks in tongue or hitch
The tow chain is secured to the tractor & mower
The wing connection bolts & pins are tight
The hydraulic cylinders pins are tight
There are no leaking or damaged hoses
Blades are not broken, chipped, cracked or bent
Blade shackles are in good condition with no cracks
The blade pins are properly retained
Their guards/deflectors are in good condition
The driveline/gearbox shields are in good condition
The driveline clutch is in good condition, not frozen
The driveline tubes & u-joints have been lubricated
The driveline yoke is securely attached to the PTO
The gearbox oil level is full
The rear roller is in good condition and turns freely
Wheel lug nuts are tight
Transport locks are in good condition
DO NOT OPERATE an UNSAFE TRACTOR or MOWER
