Some foreign body, dirt etc.,
is acting as an insulator
between the battery and the
charger.

Remove the obstruction.

The power cord is broken.

Defective power source (e.g.
problem wih the breaker)

The charger is malfunctioning.

Replace the power cord.

Ensure the power supply is OK.

Have the charger repaired.

The green lamp does not
flash slowly, even when
the charger is connected
to the mains. (without
battery)

The red light does not come
on even after you connect
the charger to the power
supply and insert the battery;
you cannot charge the
battery.

The charger is damaged.

Have the charger repaired.

The green lamp does not
come on even if you charge
for more than two hours;
charging is not completed.

The temperature of the battery
is outside the acceptable

Allow the temperature to return
