Problem
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to network
Possible Cause
Network down.
Router restricts access to
listed MAC addresses.
Insuf fi cient Wi-Fi signal strength.
Unknown encryption method.
Unusual network con fi guration.
Try This
Check that network is working
between computer and router.
Obtain your PiXiS IR’s MAC address from
System Settings > Network Settings >
Current Settings and add to router list.
Note: PiXiS IR has separate MAC addresses
for wired and wireless networks.
Check distance to router. See if a computer
can connect to the network in this location.
Change encryption method on router. PiXiS
IR supports WEP, WPA and WPA2.
Setup network manually through
System Settings > Network
Settings > Manual Settings.
Check the following ports are open on the router:
UDP and TCP ports 80 and123. DNS port 53
Windows shares: ports 135 – 139 and 445
Windows media player: varies
Non-Microsoft
fi rewalls may require
con fi guration for UPnP.
Firewall preventing access. Cannot connect to network
