9.1 Troubleshooting: Solutions / Remedies
FAULTS CAUSES
REMEDIES
- Main switch (1) faulty.
- Change the switch.
- Switch (3) faulty.
- Replace or check the switch.
The chamber fails to fill with
water
- Faulty solenoid valve and
pump
- Check and/or replace
- Clogged filter pipe
- Check and/or replace.
- No water in tank (1)
- Fill tank with water
The timer fails to function (8)
- Internal motor burnt out
- Replace the timer
- Power fails to reach motor.
- Check with a tester
Pressure gauge (9) stationary
even during sterilizing cycle
- Pressure gauge (9) clogged or
broken
- Clean the tube or replace the
pressure gauge
- No water in chamber
- Repeat the cycle
Water remains in chamber
- The "Dry" warning light (5)
remains on and fails to drain off
the water
- Replace or check the draining
solenoid valve
Air and water return to
chamber from tank during
the sterilizing phase
- Defective water inlet solenoid
valve
- Clean and check to make sure
there are no impurities under
the seals
- The heating element has burnt
out
- Replace the heating element
- The heating element wire has
detached.
- Re-connect the wire
The machine fails to
pressurize during the cycle
- Safety thermostat faulty
- Replace thermostat
- Timer contact (8) faulty
- Replace the timer
- Switch faulty 812)
- Change the switch
Pressure insufficient for the
set cycle. Indicator lights (6)
- Faulty bulb thermostat setting
- Slightly charge thermostat in
a clockwise direction
And (7) permanently on.
- Insufficient water in boiler
- Comply with the instructions
- Leaking door seal
- Clean the seal and chamber
- Chamber interior very dirty
- Clean chamber as described in
maintenance section.
The pressure increases very
slowly
- Heating insufficient
- Slackened heating element
rods
- Too much steam from vent
- Replace the complete vent
union
Button (3) fails to return to
OFF position
- Button blocked with light (4)
permanently on
- Make sure that water enters
and pull the button out to close
(3)
- Defective switch
- Change switch and check
wires
Machine fails to come on
when switch (10) is turned on
- No power supplied to
appliance socket
- Check the socket and
electricity main
- Fuses inside machine burnt
out
- Remove the casing and
change the fuses with ones of
an equal value. First made sure
that there are no short circuits
Door fails to open with
machine hot and pressure
gauge below "0"
Vacuum in chamber
- Set timer (8) to N° 3, open
door, set back to "0" position
