3. Battery operation
Remove the cover from the battery compartments

and insert
the specified batteries – pay attention to correct polarity (+/-).
Safety instructions for batteries
• Inserting the batteries the wrong way round (incorrect +/-
polarity) can damage/destroy the appliance
• Do not store batteries within the reach of children. This applies in
particular to batteries that could be swallowed
• Seek immediate medical help for affected person in the event of a
battery being swallowed
• Do not attempt to revive batteries by heating up or similar mea-
sures. Primary batteries may not be recharged as this can result in
electrolyte leakage, fire and explosions
• Do not immerse batteries in water and do not store in a damp
place. Always store in a dry and cool place
• Do not throw batteries into fire. Do not attempt to open, solder
or weld
• Do not short-circuit batteries
Please dispose of batteries in compliance with legal requirements
(see section no. 15)
4. Operation by power supply unit
Insert the plug of a suitable power supply unit in the socket

make sure that the polarity of the plug and the output of the power
supply unit are correct (4.5V DC). We recommend removing the bat-
teries from the receiver if operating by power supply unit.
5. Coding
The transmitter
and receiver
must be assigned the same code
first before you can operate the receiver
by remote control. 16
different coding possibilities are available to ensure that the receiver
reacts without fail to the transmitter’s signals. Open the cover of the
battery compartment on the transmitter

and turn the switch

a position between 1 and 16 chosen by you. The switch

receiver A has to be set the same position.
