Ensure the flutes (spirals) of the bit are fully visible outside 

the collet. Tightening the collet on the flutes can lead to 

broken bits and possible injury .

Once the bit is correctly placed in the collet, press down on 

the spindle locking button . Tighten the collet nut clockwise 

by hand as far as possible .

8

Use the Ø 16mm (Ø 5/8”) collet wrench to tighten the collet 

nut securely .
