Important Note: The Alternator will not be connected directly to the input of the DCDC.
The alternator must be connected to the starter battery and from this connection there will
be a bus connection to the input of the DCDC. See Figure 3

Connect a copper signal cable (not provided), 18-16AWG, to the D+ slot on the DCDC output
side and run the cable to the positive terminal of your alternator/starter battery common
positive. Refer to figure 5. The unit should then turn on.
