7. Assembly
The rain water tank pump is supplied disassembled. Place the U-shaped connector on the rain water tank pump and
fix it with the union nut (12). Make sure that the thread is not canted; do not use force while tightening the union nut.
Fold the stand (14) down.
If the shut-off valve is supplied separately, attach it to the hose connection (2).
The rain water tank pump can also be operated without the U-shaped connector. In this case, you may
need a suitable hose connection (not included), which must be fitted to the outlet of the rain water tank
pump.
8. Placing the rain water tank pump
•
The rain water tank pump can be hung on the edge of a suitable rain water tank using the U-shaped connector.
Optionally, you can attach a sufficiently strong, waterproof rope to the carrying handle in order to lower the rain
water tank pump into a cistern or well (e.g. when the U-shaped connector is not used). Fix the rope to a suitable
bracket.
The rain water tank pump must never be held or attached via the power cord or float switch! Otherwise the
power cord may get damaged, risk of an electric shock!
Do not place the rain water tank pump with the suction opening e.g. in a rain water tank with dirt, mud or
leftovers at the bottom, as the filter on the underside of the rain water tank pump can become clogged
within a very short time. We recommend keeping a minimum distance of 30 cm above the ground.
•
The integrated telescopic tube can be used to adjust the immersion depth of the rain water tank pump. To do this,
loosen the clamping sleeve, set the desired length and then tighten the clamping sleeve.
•
Connect the hose to the rain water tank pump by plugging it into the hose adapter (4) of the shut-off valve. You may
need a corresponding connector for this purpose (not included).
Of course, the rain water tank pump can also be operated without the shut-off valve or U-shaped connector. This
requires corresponding hose connections or connectors, which are not included in the scope of supply.
• On the side of the telescopic tube there is a cable holder (7) for the float switch (6). The position in which the cable
holder is fixed to the telescopic tube is later used to determine the corresponding switch-on or switch-off water level.
When the U-shaped connector is not used, the float switch cable can be fixed to the cable bracket (13) on the rain
water tank pump. The cable position is later used to determine the corresponding switch-on or switch-off water
level. Set the correct cable length for your application so that the float switch switches the rain water tank pump on
and off as required.
