8. Setup and connection
a) Setup
• Ensure that the turntable is located near to a mains socket.
• When choosing a location for the turntable, avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, dust, hot and cold temperatures and
damp environments. Do not use powerful transformers or motors in the vicinity of the product.
• Place the turntable on a stable, horizontal surface.
• Keep the turntable away from speakers to prevent acoustic feedback.

Place the turntable on an elevated surface away from the floor.
b) Connecting external devices to the LINE OUT cinch sockets
If you wish to connect an external amplifier and speakers, follow the instructions below:
Ensure that the power adapter is unplugged from the mains socket before connecting the turntable
to the amplifier. Switch off the amplifier and ensure that it is disconnected from the mains (unplug
the power adapter).
Only use shielded cinch cables to connect the amplifier to the cinch sockets. Other cables may
cause interference.
Only connect the RCA sockets to devices with RCA inputs, otherwise the turntable may be damaged
due to acoustic distortion.
Ensure that you connect the cables to the correct sockets (connect the left audio cable to the left socket
and the right audio cable to the right socket).
• Connect the
LINE OUT R
socket (27) to the right-hand input on the amplifier.
• Connect the
LINE OUT L
socket (28) to the left-hand input on the amplifier.
c) Connecting external audio devices
• Connect the
AUX IN
socket (5) to the line-out/headphone socket on an external audio device.
• If necessary, use a suitable adapter.
d) Connecting a pair of headphones
• Insert the 3.5 mm jack plug on your headphones into the headphone socket (6).
The built-in speaker is automatically disabled when headphones are inserted.
