•  Warning: This product is equipped with a Class 1 laser. Never open the 

device. There is a laser warning sign on the device, which warns the user. 

Do not remove the warning sign from the device. Do not open the device 

and do not try to access the interior of the unit. Never look into the laser 

beam. Laser radiation can seriously damage your eyes.

Inserting batteries

•  Open the battery compartment (6) as indicated in 

the adjacent picture. Release the tongue of the 

battery compartment lid and remove the lid in a 

downward direction. 

•  Insert the provided 3 V type CR2 battery into the 

battery compartment. Observe correct polarity 

(+/-) as indicated in the battery compartment. 

•  Close the battery compartment. The tongue of the 

battery compartment lid must lock into place.

•  Depending on the battery quality as well as the 

usage and ambient conditions (e.g. temperature), 

the battery life will last for an approximate of 5000 

distance measurements.

•  The battery symbol will appear in the eyepiece (3) 

(see picture) when the battery capacity is low. 

Then replace the battery.

Operation

a)  Focusing

•  Look into the eyepiece and aim at a distant object.
•  Turn the control dial of the eyepiece until you see the targeted object clearly.

b)  Setting the mode and measuring unit

Press the button   (1) in order to switch on the distance meter.
The eyepiece will display the unit M (meters) or Y (yards) depending on the last setting 

used.

 (2) in any mode to set the measuring unit. When measuring the 

speed, select the units KM/H (kilometers per hour) or M/H (miles per hour).

 to select one of 5 modes in the following order:

Distance measurement (no display) 

 Continuous distance measurement 

(displaying “Scan”) 

 Distance measurement with fixed spot (displaying “Scan” 

with flag symbol) 

 Fog (displaying “Fog”) 

 Speed measurement (displaying 

“Speed”).

Observe the measuring range as indicated under “Technical data”. There 

must be a minimum distance of 5 m between the object and the distance 

meter.

•  The battery should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long 

period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged 

batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, Therefore 

use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.

•  Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries 

lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow them.

•  Do  not  disassemble,  short-circuit  or  throw  batteries  into  fire.  Never 

recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

•  Never use the distance meter to stare into the sun or other strong light 

sources and do not use near them. This poses a risk of loss of eyesight!

•  When used improperly, the product may act as a burning lens. This poses 

a fire hazard! Never let the product lie in the sun.
