8. Installation
When selecting the set-up location, take the room layout into consideration (e.g. location of the nearest
socket, etc.).
Also keep in mind, when selecting the set-up location, the need to avoid proximity to direct sunlight, vibra-
tion, dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Keep the device away from powerful transformers
or motors.
The device should be operated only on a stable, level surface. There must be enough space for
air circulation to permit dissipation of the generated heat. Therefore, only place the device on
a smooth surface and not on carpets, etc. Do not cover up ventilation slots in the casing. If you
do not heed these instructions, the device may be damaged.
When setting up the device, make sure that the connection cable is not being pinched or dam-
aged by any sharp edges.
Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. There is a risk
of injury.
Only operate the record player in a horizontal position, otherwise it will not function properly.
If you do not heed these instructions, records or the record player may be damaged.
Make sure you position the appliance in a safe and stable place, away from objects that might
fall on it, thereby avoiding unwanted accidents.
In view of the variety of paints and polishes used for furniture, the base of the device may leave
visible residues on the furniture it is placed on caused by a chemical reaction.
Therefore, do not place the device on the surface of valuable furniture without appropriate pro-
tection.
• Install your record player on a stable flat surface.
• Set up the record player at a sufficient distance from the loudspeakers you may use to avoid acoustic
feedback.
