c) Connecting the LED strip to the control unit

•  Connect the 4-pin connection of the LED

strip to the corresponding 4-pin socket of the

control unit.

Make sure that the labels on the connections match (the arrow symbol on the socket

of the control unit must point to the label “+” on the LED strip).

•  The plug connection can be protected from unintentional disconnection by using a strip of

adhesive tape.

d) Connecting the wall plug transformer

•  Connect the round low voltage plug of the wall plug transformer to the corresponding round

socket on the control unit.

•  Connect the wall plug transformer to a proper mains socket of the public supply network.

e) Inserting the battery into the IR remote control

•  Open the battery compartment of the IR remote control and insert a battery of type “CR2025”,

paying attention to the correct polarity (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-). Close the battery

compartment again.

•  The battery needs replacing if the range of the IR remote control decreases or if the control

unit no longer responds to the remote control.

Maintenance and cleaning

•  Apart from the occasional battery change for the IR remote control, the product is

maintenance-free.
The built-in LED bulbs are permanently installed; they cannot be replaced.

•  Before you clean the product, disconnect it from the mains voltage. Pull the wall plug

transformer from the mains socket.

•  The outside of the product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions for this could damage

the housing (discolouring) or impair the operation.

Disposal

a) General

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the

household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to

the relevant statutory regulations.

Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.

b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries

You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used

batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is

prohibited.

Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to

indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the

heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on

(rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).

Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever

batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
