CARTRIDGES
The EM Pre-Filter and the NanoCeram® are not necessarily replaced at the same time and the LED
indicator lights refer only to the NanoCeram® cartridge.
Pre-filter
• The EM Pre-filter cartridge has 2 parts, the reusable housing and the disposable media insert.
The life of the media insert will range from a couple of months to a year and it depends
entirely on the quality of the water, the reusable housing should last for several years.
• Install a new media insert when washing and back-flushing fails to restore acceptable
flow. Heavy amounts of particles will require more frequent washing, back-flushing and
replacement.
NanoCeram
®
Cartridge
• The NanoCeram® has a maximum capacity of 1 year or 11,355 L (3,000 gallons), whichever
occurs first. Replacement cartridges should be ordered when the flow meter’s yellow light
flashes and it must be replaced when the red warning light flashes.
For both cartridges
- To improve the water flow and to avoid “run-on”, always “charge” the
cartridges with water after having been removed from the system.
BATTERIES
LED indicator lights run on 2 AA batteries (not included) located in base compartment and they
must be replaced with fresh high quality batteries when installing a new NanoCeram® Cartridge.
