Before commissioning
Observe the following points before commis-
sioning:
n
The heating system is filled with DI water in
accordance with VDI 2035. We recommend the
addition of REMKO full heating protection (see
Chapter 7 ‘Corrosion protection’
).
n
- A water or system temperature of min. 20°C
in the return flow must be ensured (e.g. with a
heating element/emergency heating operation).
n
The entire heating system is rinsed, cleaned
and de-aerated (incl. hydraulic balancing).
n
The smooth pipe heat exchanger (register)
must be rinsed out properly before the initial
installation is carried out (we also recommend
installing a dirt filter). If the smooth pipe heat
exchanger is not used while operating the tank
(e.g. only electric heating), it must be filled
completely with an appropriate glycol mixture
in order to prevent corrosion from the accumu-
lating condensate water. The filled glycol heat
exchanger may not be closed on both sides
after filling (temperature-based pressure
expansion).
n
Before the warm water tank is connected to the
mains electricity supply and put into service for
the first time, it is vital that it is filled with water.
During initial filling, the discharge valve must
be open. The storage tank is fully filled when
water which is free of bubbles starts to run out
of the discharge pipe of the valve.
n
The heat pump is not released if an outside
temperature under 10°C is measured at the
external probe and the water inlet tempera-
ture (return flow) is under 15°C.
NOTICE!
No commissioning can take place if the above
named points are not observed. Damage
resulting from this is not covered by the guar-
antee!

Commissioning
Touch display and information on commis-
sioning
The Smart Control is used to operate and control
the entire heating system. The Smart Control is
operated via the touch display.
n
The unit is pre-installed at the factory. After a
reset of the Smart Control, the default parame-
ters are loaded.
n
An intensive visual inspection is to be carried
out before the actual commissioning.
n
Switch on the power supply.
n
Then the preinstalled data is loaded and the
parameters can be set with the help of the
commissioning wizard or in the system configu-
ration. You can find information on this in the
separate operating instructions of the Smart
Control.
