PREMIUM TITANIUM COATING
The Tribal Styler features floating plates with a premium titanium
coating. This mirror smooth coating maximises heat transfer and
is wear resistant.
BASIC HAIR CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For optimal results, shampoo and condition your hair prior to styling.
Dry your hair thoroughly before using your Tribal Styler and make
sure that it is tangle free.
Tribal Styler is suitable for use on synthetic wigs or hair extensions
when set to the lowest heat setting of 115°C. The Tribal Styler is
not suitable for use on synthetic wigs or hair extensions when set
to higher temperatures than 115°C.
AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT
Tribal Styler features automatic voltage adjustment for international
use. Plug the unit into any domestic power outlet and it will adjust
automatically to the voltage being supplied.
Note: - Some countries will require the use of a plug adaptor that
is not included with your styler.
HOW TO USE YOUR REMINGTON® TRIBAL STYLER
Place the styler on a flat, hard, heat resistant surface ensuring the
sides of the plates do not come into contact with the surface. Plug
in to any household (120/240V AC) power outlet. Press and hold the
on/off switch for 2 seconds to switch the styler on. The blue back
light of the digital display window will light up and the straightener
will begin to heat up. Select your desired temperature using the
variable temperature dial. As your straightener is heating up the
numbers on the digital display will flash the current temperature as
it heats up to your set temperature. When the numbers stop flashing
and show your desired temperature, your straightener is ready to use.
To increase the temperature, rotate the variable temperature dial
toward the + setting. To decrease temperature, rotate the variable
temperature dial toward the – setting.
The lowest temperature indicated by – on the variable
temperature dial is 115ºC. The highest temperature indicated
by + on the variable temperature dial is 235ºC.
The temperature setting breaks from 235ºC to 115ºC are marked on
the variable heat temperature dial.
Take extra care when using the straightener, as it can get very hot.
It is important to establish the correct temperature for your hair
type prior to use, to prevent over drying or damage to your hair.
If in doubt, start with the lowest temperature and increase the
temperature gradually.
•
To make styling easier, part the hair either in the middle or to
the side and use clips to section your hair, top, sides and back.
•
You may need to comb through your hair before straightening
to ensure that it is tangle free.
•
Start at the nape of the neck and straighten the underneath
sections of hair first. When the underneath sections of hair
are complete, move to the next layers, finishing with the hair
around the part line.
•
Take about a 5 cm section of hair and pull taut and down and
away from the scalp. Holding the styler with the other hand,
start at the roots and clamp the hair firmly between the plates.
•
Firmly holding the plates together, run the straightener down
through the entire length of the section of hair from roots to
ends, in one smooth stroke.
•
Repeat on the same section of hair if it needs extra straightening.
•
Repeat until the desired amount of straightening has been
achieved.
To switch off your straightener, press and hold the on/off switch
for 2 seconds.
HINGE LOCK FEATURE
Safely store your Tribal Styler with the plates locked together.
To lock – holding the plates together, slide the hinge lock down
toward the cord until it locks into place.
To unlock – slide the hinge lock upward toward the straightener plates.
AUTOMATIC SAFETY SHUT OFF
If the straightener is not used for a period of 60 (+/- 5) minutes
(temperature is constant) it will automatically shut off.`
