PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
The device does not flash when I press the Flash Button.
The Contact Sensors are not in full contact with the skin.
Check that the area around the Flash Window is touching
your skin. The device won’t work unless it’s flat against
your skin.
You have not waited enough time between flashes.
The device requires about 4 seconds between flashes.
When your device is ready to flash (and the Flash Window
is flat against the skin), the Flash Button will blink orange.
The Lamp Cartridge has reached the end of its life.
A large bulb icon will appear in the Display Screen.
Replace the Lamp Cartridge.
The thermometer icon is flashing red and the device is
beeping
The device needs time to cool down.
Wait a few minutes for the device to cool down. If
necessary, turn the device back on and unlock it using the
Skin Tone Tester.
The Display Screen shows a flashing triangle with
exclamation mark and a reference number. A dual-tone
audio indicator sounds.
The device isn’t working properly and may need to
be serviced.
Turn off the device and wait a few minutes. Then turn the
power back on. If the device displays the error number
again, contact Customer Service for help and provide
them with the reference number displayed.
