BefORe USING yOUR WaSHaBLe BOdy HaIR TRIMMeR 

•  Charge the Washable Body Hair Trimmer for 14 – 16 hours 

before first use.

•  Unplug the Washable Body Hair Trimmer from the charging 

adaptor before using.

•  The Hair Trimmer is washable and shower proof so feel free to 

use it in the shower.

CHaRGING

Before using the Washable Body Hair Trimmer for the first time, 

put it on to charge for 14 –16 hours.
•  Use only the charging adaptor supplied with the unit. Charging 

should be done at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC or it 

could adversely affect battery life.

•  When charging, the unit must be switched to the OFF position.
•  Connect the cord to the Trimmer and then plug the charging 

adaptor into a 230/240 volt domestic power outlet. The 

charging indicator light will come on.

•  The Trimmer cannot be over charged, so you can leave it on 

charge between uses. If the Trimmer is not going to be used 

for an extended period of time, (2-3 months) unplug it fully. 

Recharge it just before you intend to use it again.

•  To preserve the life of the batteries, let them run down fully 

every six months and then recharge them for 24 hours.

•  Your Washable Body Hair Trimmer comes with  (NiMH) Nickel 

Metal Hydride environmentally safe batteries.

HOW TO USe

TRIMMING

The Trimmer Comb can be adjusted to give 5 different trim 

lengths simply by turning the Thumb Wheel to the desired 

setting. Turn the Thumb Wheel clockwise for shorter length, 

anti-clockwise for longer length. The wheel will click into place

Thank you for purchasing the Remington® Tools of the Trade 

Washable Body Hair Trimmer.
Using your trimmer is easy, but take a few minutes to 

familiarise yourself with these instructions.

as it reaches each setting, and the setting number will appear 

on the length position indicator. Below is what the length 

settings mean:

Begin trimming at one of the longest settings – number 4 or 

number 5 – to avoid accidentally trimming the hair too short. As 

you become familiar with the settings, you can then select your 

desired length.
Note: The Trimmer Comb must be attached to the Trimmer in 

order to use the hair length selector.

edGING aNd SHaPING

Remove the Adjustable Trimmer Comb Attachment if you are 

defining hairline edges for shaping and trimming.

•  Hold the Trimmer at a right angle to your skin and press 

down gently.

•  Edge and shape the area as desired.

To remove the Trimmer Comb attachment

•  Be sure that the Trimmer switch is in the off position.
•  Remove the Adjustable Trimmer Comb Attachment. While 

holding the Trimmer in one hand with your thumb on the 

Thumb Wheel to prevent it from turning, gently pull the Comb 

Attachment away from the Trimmer. The Comb Attachment 

can be removed and replaced on any setting.

To replace the Trimmer Comb attachment

•  Be sure that the Trimmer switch is in the off position.
•  Slide the comb over the top of the Trimmer until it ‘clicks’ into place.

Charging Adaptor.

or be knocked into a sink or tub. Do not place Charging 

Adaptor in or drop into water or any other liquid.

•  Unplug the charging adaptor from the electrical outlet 

immediately after use.

•  Unplug and switch off this appliance before cleaning it.
•  Use this trimmer only for its intended use as described in 

this manual. 

•  Do not use attachments not recommended by Remington.
•  Never drop or insert any object into any opening of this trimmer.
•  Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
•  Do not use this trimmer with a damaged or broken trimming 

unit as injury may occur.

•  Always store the charging adaptor in a moisture-free location.

•  This trimmer is manufactured for home use only.
•  This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years 

and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or 

mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if 

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning 

use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the 

hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. 

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children 

without supervision.

•  Do not use on people who are asleep.
•  Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, 

if it is not working correctly, if the charging adaptor has been 

damaged or dropped into water.

•  Do not use an extension cord or a voltage converter with 

this appliance.

•  Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.

Remington strongly recommends that an approved Safety 

Switch (Residual current device) be installed to protect all 

bathroom power outlets. Ask an electrical contractor for 

advice.
