Rules of conduct in emergency situations posing a threat to employees' life or 
health. 

1. After finding defects, damage or improper operation of the machine or its copo-
nents, the wood chipper shall be immediately turned off and immobilized and the 
superior should be notified. Resumption of work without removing the damage or 
the cause of the failure is not allowed. 

2. If it is necessary to leave the chipper unattended during work, switch off the 
tractor and secure the machine. 

3. In the event of any doubts as to the observance of safety conditions at work, 
the employee has the right to stop work and contact his supervisor to clarify the 
situation and make a decision. 

4. In the event of an accident at work, turn off the tractor driving the machine, 
report the accident to your supervisor, call an ambulance if necessary. Leave the 
workplace in the condition in which the accident happened. 

5. If there is any doubt as to how the work should be carried out, the work should 
be stopped and the manager asked for guidance. 

6. In case of fire of the tractor driving the chipper. Follow the instructions 

with instructions in the event of fire. 

7. A faulty or damaged or remaining in-service chipper should be withdrawn from 
use, and clearly marked with information boards and secured in a way preventing 
its activation. 

Startup of the machine:

• Check tightness of all screws, 
• Check the condition of the rotor bearings, 
• Check the condition of the cutting disc and cutting blades. Adjust or re-
place as necessary. 
• Grease all kalamitami.  

After working each subsequent 10 hours

Repeat the steps listed above.
