1. Introduction
We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our compressor. We appreciate your trust. That's why functional
security and operational safety comes for us first.
2. In general
Please, follow before you start running the compressor
1.
On the upper side of the compressor, you find a white plastic-locking stopper which is inserted in the oil filter
opening. Remove the locking stopper and substitute it with the red oil filter plug (provided - accessories bag).
2.
With the oil stand display in the lower front area of the compressor (directly behind the regulator), the oil stand
can be controlled. For normal use the oil stand must be at least half fill
1.
on the Oil stand display. For re-filling you can use any Compressor oil.
2.
On the regulator there are two pressure hose connections. Air amount for one pressure hose connection is used
by turning the regulator lever handle. The other is a free flow directly from the tank. Screw either a metal cap or
a quick coupling (not included) on the pressure hose connection with free flow, before you start the compressor.
To prevent running out, you can use a nylon thread tape.
Operators are on their own responsible for:
•
Following and respecting the local, regional and national regulations.
•
The regulations defined in the operating instructions and tips (laws, orders, directives follow etc.) for a sure and safe
use and maintenance.
•
Make sure that the operating instructions are available to the service and maintenance staff and the tips and warnings
as well as the safety regulations are obeyed in all details.
3. Ranges of application
On grounds of their regulation purposes they are set in and used where condensed Air with the normal atmospherical
compositions are required:
•
Working air
•
Wind air
•
Pumped air
If necessary the generated air pressure is to be processed according to its regulations (filtering, drying):
•
Breathing air
•
Air in food industry
•
Air for ventilating fishponds
The Profi-Air Tec compressors are not allowed to use any other gases except air with the normal atmospherical compositions
4. Preparation and statring
1.
The place to set the compressor should be clean, dry and ventilated
2.
Keep the use voltage within ± 5% of rated.
3.
Keep the oil level in the red circle lever.
4.
Recommend compressor oil use SAE30 or L-DAB100 when the indoor temperature is over 10°C and use
SAE10 or L-DAB68 below 10°C.
5.
Open the outlet valve. Set the knob of pressure switch in position on, let the compressore run 10 minutes with
no load to ensure lubricating the moving parts before regular service.
6.
Cheking the tension of V-belt. It is correct when the belt can be depressed downard 10~15mm with fingers by
the middle of the belt.
5. Operation
Before using the compressor follow the security tips:
The compressor may only be started without pressure!
Please, check before every use the electrical connections as well as the cable for intactness.
Please, check before the installation whether the electrical connections are earthed according with the legal regulations and
are installed.
Turning on: Turn the counter on I
by versions with a pressure switch put the switch toggle on I.
Switch off: Turn the counter on 0
by versions with a pressure switch put the switch toggle on 0.
1.
The compressor is controlled by pressure switch when normal working. It can be stopped automatically as pressure
increasing to the maximum and restart as pressure decreasing to the mnimum. The rated pressure has been adjusted
when produced. Don’t change it carelessly. As soon as motor switched off the compressed air in the dicharge pipe
should be released through the release valve under the switch. This is the necessary condition for restart otherwise the
motor will be damaged. The rated pressure can be adjusted by turning the adjusting bolt of the switch.
2.
The output pressure of compressed air can be adjusted by regulating valve.
3.
When the running compressor needs be stopped, only set the knob of pressure switch in position off.
A safe use with Profi-AirTec compressors are guaranteed only, when the compressors are used according to their designated
defined purposes, the relevant security tips are respected and in the operating instructions provided information are applied
according to the instructions.
ATTENTION:
Too frequent turning on and off should be absolutely avoided,
because otherwise, the condensers and the engine winding will be damaged.
6. Security tips
1.
Absolutely follow and obey valid regulations on the electrical security
2.
The compressors may not be used nearby ignitable liquids.
3.
The compressors may not be used in sprinkle water areas.
4.
Always use protective glasses.
5.
Before each work on the compressor, it must be switched off and be taken from the electricity source (To be done only
from a professional!)
6.
Before working on the commpressor it has to be free/empty of pressure!
7.
It may not suck in dust or overspray.
8.
The suction filters are regularly to be clean (when necessary) to avoid damages on the compressor.
9.
Never use the compressor without a suction filter.
10.
It is to be avoided that the air sucked in by the compressor does not have contact with explosion-threatened gases or
dust
11.
The compressor may not be used in humid rooms.
12.
Sluggish fuse protection must be used.
13.
The changing of filters and O rings are to be carried out as instructed or possibly in a service center
14.
The compressors stand under overpressure, injury danger exists by air pressure exhaustion.
15.
The compressor may only be started without pressure.
16.
The surrounding temperature should be max. 35°C and min 10°C.
The Manufacturer explains:
•
To take over no responsibility in case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to the
instructions in this book
•
to reject every responsibility for damages which originate from the improper use of the compressors
7. Cautions
1.
Put the cover off first and put on the breath pipe and air filter before the compressor run.
2.
Never unscrew any connecting part when the tanks is in pressure condition.
3.
Never disassemble any electrical part before disconnecting the plug.
4.
Never adjust the safety valve carelessly.
5.
Never use the compressor in place where voltage is too low or too high.
6.
Never use electric wire which is longer than 5 m.
7.
Never disconnect the plug to stop compressor, set the switch knob in position off instead.
8.
If the release valve doesn’t work as motor stopped, find the cause immediately so as not to damage motor.
9.
Lubricating oil must be clean, oil level should be kept in the red circle of leveler
10.
Disconnect the plug to cut off power supply and open the outlet valve.
