PROPER USE
7
KAYAK STORAGE RACK CAN BE SET TO 2 POSITIONS:
1. When frame is in use, it will extend perpendicular to the wall. The
positioning bolt on the vertical tube of the frame will be seated
completely in the two U-slots on main support bracket (
FIG. 7, In-Use
U-slot
).
2. When frame is not in use, it can be stored out of the way by swinging
the frame 90 degrees to a position parallel with the wall. To switch
from one position to the other, simply raise the vertical tube by
pushing it up until the positioning bolt is completely out of U-slots in
main support bracket. Swing the frame 90 degrees and let it seat into
the second pair of U-slots (
FIG. 7

SECURING BOAT FOR STORAGE
1. Make sure each frame is extended perpendicular to wall in
the in-use U-slot (
FIG. 7
).
2. Position boat so that it lines up with the kayak storage rack
frames. Make sure the straps are outside of the frame to avoid
getting trapped under the boat.
3. With help from an additional person if needed, place the
boat in the kayak storage rack frames- boat top facing out is
the recommended orientation. Make sure the boat is placed in
a well-balanced position.
4. Place the front and back straps on the boat (
FIG. 8
). Adjust the
length of front strap as needed to fit around boat. Latch each
buckle together and pull on the loose end of strap to cinch it
securely around the boat (
FIG. 9
).
DO NOT
over-tighten as this
may bend or damage kayak storage racks.
5. Paddles can be stored on J-hooks located at the bottom of the
kayak storage rack.
