VADA
TWIN MOTOR MACERATOR
Connecting the discharge pipe:
1. Remove the end cover or covers from the back of the unit.
2. The discharge bend is at the centre of the back of the unit. Use the sleeve to connect it to the riser pipe and fix in place with
steel hose cilps.
3. A ball valve MUST be used on the discharge line to facilitate servicing.
Fixing the unit to the floor:
1. Place the unit on the desired spot.
2. Locate the 2 holes for the attachment on the floor.

stars up 3 seconds later. See Figure 4.
Temporary alarm: If one of the 2 motors runs for more than 1 minute,
the buzzer is triggered and the red LED light comes on. The other motor
starts up 3 seconds later.

INSTALLATION NOTES
1. The twin macerator is to be installed with at least 600mm of working room around and above the unit to facilitate such
maintenance work as required.
2. Isolating valves (not supplied) must be fitted on waste inlets and on the discharge to ensure that any service/
maintenance can be carried out safely.
3. If the unit is installed in a space such as a pit, it is recommend that the pit be drained in the case of flooding.
4. The unit must be fixed to the floor.
Resetting the general alarms:
If the problem that triggered an alarm disappears, the buzzer stops, but the red LED alarm remains lit, it acts as a reminder that
the system encountered a problem.
Make a note of the problem that has occurred.
The keypad key will stop the buzzer in all cases, but it will only turn off the red LED light if the problem that triggered the alarm has
been resolved. Alarms from the remote box also remain active until the problem has been sovled. This prevents the system from
being abandoned by default.
