Operation

Correct posture

Never work on unstable ground!

Never work while standing on a ladder!

Use only when weather conditions are favourable!

•  Stand with both legs firmly on the ground.

• Always hold the power tool with both hands!

•  Look over the working area and remove any obstructions.

•  Switch the pole saw on before starting the cut.

•  Apply a uniform pressure to the unit without excessive force.

After use

Always switch the motor off before you put the power tool down! 

When the On/Off switch is released, the saw chain continues 

running briefly.

•  Stop the engine.

•  Wait until all rotating parts have come to a standstill.

•  Remove the battery.

•  Place sheath on cutting mechanism.

•  Leave power tool to cool down.

Basic working technique

•  Operate the saw at a maximum angle of 60 degrees (see Figure 9). 

•  Never cut a branch directly aboutthe head!

•  Start at the bottom of the trunk and work upwards.

•  To cut thick branches saw in 2 steps:

        1. Saw upwards into the branch 1/3 of the branch diameter

        2.  A little further up the branch saw through the branch from 

top to bottom

•  Saw longer branches piece by piece.

•  When limbing trunks lying flat on theground, first always saw off 

the branchespointing upwards. Do not cut throughsupporting 

branches until the trunk hasbeen sawn into lengths.
